Pues terminó el “rush” del día de las Madres ayer.
La corredera. La compradera de flores, chocolates, el ponerse “listas y guapas” para el festival. El llevar a los niños a la casa porque “salen temprano”. Subir los posts a IG. Hay que felicitar a nuestras Tías, hermanas, amigas, esposas, abuelas, etc.
Y hoy, el polvo de todo ese ajetreo termina por disiparse, y volvemos a la normalidad.
Otra vez las Mamás a preparar el Lunch, asegurarse que los uniformes estén listos, que les vaya bien con sus tareas, llevarlos a sus actividades extraescolares, que coman saludable, que estén bien, que no les falte nada, en fin, todo como siempre.
Nunca lo había experimentado de manera cercana, porque gracias a Dios, aún tengo a mi Madre conmigo, pero ahora, mas que nunca, fui muy consciente de lo que el día de las Madres debe de ser para todas aquellas personas que, desafortunadamente, han perdido a su Madre en el camino, sin importar si se fueron a los 30, 60 o 90 años:
El día más cabrón y difícil de todo el año. (Perdón el francés).
Insisto, escribo desde mi perspectiva de espectador, afortunado por aún tener a la suya, y para nada intento entender lo que deben sentir. No creo ni siquiera pueda estar cerca de ello. Escribo desde la empatía, y lo que veo; una disculpa a quienes lo lean si en algún momento me quedo corto en mi entendimiento de su sentir.
Y no, no importa si son Madres o no, no importa tampoco si son hombres, o mujeres. El dolor, la desesperanza, y el peso del tener que “estar bien” debe ser terrible.
Desde antes de que llegue el día, empiezan a llegar todos esos recuerdos. Toda una vida acompañados por sus Madres, que tristemente, no están más con ellos.
Y luego llega el mero día. Qué patada en la espinilla.
A las que son Mamás, las felicitaciones de sus pequeños, que, desde días atrás, en complicidad con sus Padres, han planeado los regalos de Mamá. Probablemente, han tenido incluso que participar en mandar a la escuela algunas fotos, ayudarlos con alguna tarea, en fin, preparar el regalo que recibirán.
Además, hay que considerar a las tías, abuelas, cuñadas, amigas, etc, que hay que felicitar por su día a todas con cara de no pasa nada.
Una lluvia de sentimientos encontrados, agradecidas con sus pequeños por la ilusión que les genera el felicitar a Mamá, con sus caritas de “ahhhhh, no sabías que aquí estaban tus flores y tus chocolates… y mira la tasa (horrible) y mi dibujo que te hice”
Y a los hombres, igual de duro. Ayudar a los chavos a preparar el regalo de Mamá, darle su beso y su abrazo, hacer barullo, y abrazar mucho a la esposa, mientras por dentro, el vacío está presente todo el tiempo.
Luego, todo el día de redes sociales (quienes me conocen saben lo que pienso de ellas, es el escaparate donde todos publican sus vidas perfectas, y llenan con eso un vacío que tienen mucho mas profundo) de anuncios en tele, en radio, espectaculares, los mensajes por todos lados, es decir, un bombardeo tremendo que recuerda lo que, en ese momento, más duele.
Y además, la expectativa impuesta de que deben librar, de manera estoica, casi heroica, el día.
Aquí es donde, hablando desde mi trinchera del privilegio, quiero decirles algo:
Nunca, como hasta ahora, había entendido (desde donde puedo hacerlo) que para uds, el 10 de mayo, es un día BRUTAL. De mucha tristeza, mucha melancolía, recuerdos, alegrías, y un cúmulo de sentimientos encontrados.
Tal vez con el tiempo, vaya siendo menos duro, pero honestamente, no estoy seguro de ello.
Los quiero mucho. Los abrazo a todas y a todos desde lo más profundo de mi ser. Tienen mi profunda admiración y respeto, y quisiera tener una quinta parte de la resiliencia y fortaleza que Uds. demuestran cada año, en este día.
En mi experiencia, no queda mas que tratar de hacer que este día, pase de la manera más casual y rápida posible, tratando de provocar unas risas, mucho apapacho y presencia, esperando que pronto vuelva el mundo al día “cotidiano” que no recuerda a cada instante el dolor que sufren.
Entendí que hay que dar los espacios para que sientan lo que quieran sentir, y no lo que el día en general, obliga a sentir.
Quiero decirles, que espero de todo corazón, que poco a poco, el tiempo vaya haciendo cada vez menos doloroso el recuerdo y la ausencia, y que se den su espacio y sus momentos para sentir lo que tengan y quieran sentir, cuando así les de su gana. Que los que estamos acá con Uds., los acompañaremos mientras podamos, estando ahí, para Uds.
Para mí, todos y cada uno de ustedes, son un increíble ejemplo de fortaleza, templanza, y entrega. Libraron probablemente el día más duro de todo el año. Y quiero decirles, que vendrán como siempre, muchos días mejores.
Arriba y adelante. Son mis héroes y heroínas. Espero un día, ser tan fuerte como ustedes.

Tienes toda la razón yo pase 15 días en depresión, pensando y sintiendo todo lo que mencionas, no fue un lindo día de las madres, bueno la mitad por tener a mis hijos, pero me falto la mía, y siendo mamá no creo haberlo disfrutado como otros años con los festivales y regalos.
